Enjoy the tranquility and nature of Grossarltal. Travel in total comfort to the Valley of Mountain Huts by bus or train. Hiking taxis and hiking buses will then take you to the best starting points for idyllic hikes.

Cycling & Mountain Biking

Around 160 km of cycle paths and mountain bike trails await you in Grossarltal. Bike up to a hut from where you can enjoy unobstructed views of the Hohe Tauern panorama.

Alpine Pasture & Hut Days

Enjoy the fascination of Salzburg’s alpine pastures and mountains. Take leisurely hikes across the pastures, ridges and summits, and enjoy mouthwatering delicacies at mountain huts. The highlight of this package is a 3-day hike from hut to hut.

Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival is probably one of the most beautiful times of year to go hiking. The clear mountain air invites you to gaze in awe at the unique alpine vistas of the Hohe Tauern range. Harvest Festival is also the occasion for special events such as the Sheep Drive and country fairs.
