The Postbus line 540 (St. Johann - Großarl - Hüttschlag) and line 541 (Großarl - Ellmautal - Klausbauer/Grundlehen) take you to many starting points for hikes.

The hiking taxi is a convenient mode of transportation for all hikers. Without the need for a personal car, the hiking taxi provides access to numerous starting points for hikes and mountain tours in Grossarltal. It is particularly recommended for valley crossings and multi-day hikes.

Hike from the mountain stations to the Aualm or climb the Gamskarkogel from the Tofernalm. To make these and other hikes more accessible,scheduled taxi rides to alpine huts are available.
Registration is required up to one hour before departure at Taxi.

In addition to the scheduled hiking taxi, rides to mountain huts in the Grossarltal are available at any time. Please register with the taxi company the day before. Prices upon request. Experience alpine life – without the strenuous climb – and enjoy a stop at a serviced mountain hut and the magnificent panorama of the surrounding mountains.
