Want to reach even greater heights? In that case, a climb to one of our higher mountain huts will be just for you. These tours require good basic fitness, as they involve approximately 1,000 - 1,500 vertical meters of uphill riding. But the effort is worth it – once at the hut, you will be greeted with homemade delicacies such as fresh butter, full-flavored cheeses, crispy-fresh farmhouse bread, and much more.

Circular tour

In Grossarltal, there is a circular tour leading from one mountain hut to the next, known as the Grossarler Almenrunde. This tour takes you past 5 rustic huts in total, each with its own charm. The Almenrunde promises lots of challenges and variety certain to appeal to all avid mountain bikers. It's a perfect opportunity for a full workout and to enjoy our wealth of mountain huts.

Then, start your hike to the top of one of our peaks in Grossarltal. After your scenic summit conquest, comfortably bike back down to the valley.

In summer, e-bike & hike tours are offered that also include technique coaching. Along with a local bike guide, head to a traditional mountain hut and receive tips for improving your technique along the way. Through a series of coordinated technique exercises, you'll have even more fun reaching your destination. After the ascent by e-bike, you hike to a summit together with the guide and on your return you take a break on the mountain hut.

Grossarltal-Dorfgastein bike link

Mountain bikers can actually ride from one valley to another thanks to the Grossarltal-Dorfgastein bike link. Ride the Grossarltal Panoramabahn to the mountain station, and from there, start your biking experience first to the Kreuzkogel, then down to Dorfgastein. The Fulseck Summit Lift will then bring you back up the mountain, before riding your bike down to the top station of the Panoramabahn. At that point, either return by lift or tackle the action-packed single track back to the valley.

Important: E-bikes are not allowed on the Panoramabahn lift in Grossarltal.

Experience pure adrenaline and fun on the single track in Grossarltal. Ride up with the lift, step out of the cabin, and dive into the all-out thrills of a trail with astonishing flow. A roughly 10 km long mountain bike single track awaits you with an elevation change of about 1,000 vertical meters!
