Winter Hiking & Walking in Grossarltal

Winter hikes in Grossarltal

Would you like to trudge through our snowy winter countryside? If so, around 35 km of cleared winter hiking paths await you in Grossarl and Hüttschlag. Some take you alongside the stream, others uphill to farmhouses higher on the mountains.

When you are ready to drop back down to the valley, your return trip often goes quite a bit faster. If you didn’t accidentally leave your sled at home, why not end your walk with a fun sled ride? Please note: We are not liable for any accidents!

Tip: The Loosbühelalm is open for all winter hikers, snowshoe hikers and ski tourers in winter.

Fairy-tale hike by torchlight

Fairy-tale hike by torchlight
Every Tuesday and Thursday, we enjoy a high-spirited hike through the winter forest, listening to fairy tales shared with us along the way. They tell of fairy queens and ice castles, of magical trees and powerful mountain spirits. And these tales are often accompanied by melodies played on a natural flute.

Meets 5 p.m. at the tourist office (from mid-February at 5:30). The Fairy-Tale Hike is suitable for families with children 4 and older. Fee € 17.00 per adult and € 14.00 per child. It lasts about 1 ½ hours. Please sign up by no later than 12 p.m. Tuesday through Ms. Andrea Seer, Tel.: +43 (0) 664 / 3850257.
