walking trails & mountain hut experiences
For relaxed outdoor activities, Grossarltal offers several walking and hiking routes that are especially suitable for guests with limited mobility as well as families with strollers.
These routes are characterised by:
- wide and well-maintained paths

Most of them run along the valley floor or follow streams and meadows, allowing visitors to enjoy nature without demanding physical effort.
Partially accessible tours:
A special service is the hiking taxi in Grossarltal, which operates during the summer months and offers rides to selected mountain huts. This allows guests to reach many alpine pastures comfortably and enjoy the mountain scenery without having to tackle long ascents. Especially for seniors, families with strollers or guests with limited mobility, the hiking taxi is an ideal way to enjoy a relaxed trip to the mountains.
Important note: The mountain huts in Grossarltal are not necessarily fully accessible. In particular, toilet facilities at the huts are generally not designed to be accessible. In addition, trails starting from the huts are classic hiking paths and may be uneven or steep. We therefore recommend checking the individual conditions in advance.
