A beautiful ski route that offers a wonderful view of the Hohe Tauern at the summit. This route is not suitable for beginners as the track in the “Geissmahdloch” area is sometimes icy and therefore very exhausting. It requires skill, strength, and fitness. This also applies for the descent!

The starting point of this route is the parking lot at the valley end (avalanche transceiver checkpoint), 1,043 m. You reach it coming from St. Johann im Pongau via the Großarler Landesstraße (L109) to Hüttschlag, then about 6 km further towards the valley end.
