Tappenkarseealm elev. 1,768 m (3 h walk)

The Tappenkarseealm lies at 1,768 m, next to the biggest mountain tarn in the Eastern Alps. The location by the lake is quite unique.

Coming from Hüttschlag, you will reach the hut in around 3 h, while from Grossarl you will need some 5 hrs. Coming from Grossarltal, you will have to hike over the mountains, whereas the approach from Kleinarl is easier, taking just 1 ½ h from the Schwabalm. Once at the hut, hikers are rewarded with delicious snacks.
