Modereggalm elev. 1,720 m (2 h walk)
At the foot of the Keeskogel, the highest mountain and only glacier in Grossarltal, lies the Modereggalm at 1,720 m. You can reach this hut in about 2 h via a hiking trail that is steep in parts. The Modereggalm, located at the entrance to Hohe Tauern National Park, has been honored as one of the official “National Park Huts”.
Around the hut you will find cows grazing, pigs enjoying a pleasant lifestyle and happy hens cackling about. At the Modereggalm, hikers are treated to a selection of delicious homemade products.
