Harbachalm elev. 1,612 m (1 1/2 h walk)
This hut is actually the only still-existing miners’ hut dating back to the 17th cent. Copper used to be mined in the area of the Tofernalm and the Reitalm.
Hikers are rewarded with hearty snacks and homemade products. Highly recommended: their apple bread, a delicious version of traditional fruit bread.
The area of the Harbach- and Tofernalm is particularly famous for its wealth of yellow and spotted gentian, whose roots are especially beneficial in the treatment of stomach and intestinal complaints, and which are strictly protected plant species.
