The Aigenalm-Paulhütte is located in Aigenalmtal at 1,280 m, easy to reach in any weather in about 1 ¼ h. Mountain bikers are also welcome visitors.
Awaiting you up there is a pure alpine idyll – the cows and pigs spend their summers close to the hut. Your hike up to the Aigenalm-Paulhütte is rewarded with a wonderful selection of homemade products as well as hot meals. One special highlight: their Kaiserschmarrn-style pancakes, something every hiker has to try at least once.
The drinking well there is a magnet for the kids, and also a welcome source of cool refreshment. If you are lucky, you might well catch sight of deer or chamois grazing out on the alpine pastures, where more wild animals roam than practically anywhere else in Grossarltal.
