At the highest grass mountain in Europe – the Gamskarkogel – lies the Gamskarkogel hut (Bad Gastein Hut) at 2,465 m.

In 4 to 5 h, hikers reach this Alpine Club hut. This hut is one of the oldest shelters in the entire Alpine region. It was built by Archduke Johann as early as 1828.
