Whether rafting down powerful rivers, canyoning through breathtaking gorges, or hang- or paragliding at dizzying heights – numerous opportunities for outdoor sports and recreation are offered in the Grossarltal area. At the Hoamalm, you will discover an exciting archery course. “Track down” and take aim at 14 alpine animals. Bows and arrows for all ages can be rented out at the Hoamalm. You can make the archery course daily without Monday.
ACTIVE PROGRAM – archery on a 3D course, exciting and jam-packed with variety. Together with a guide, you will set out to track down 14 wild animals (not to worry, they are just lifelike targets!), then put your accuracy with a bow and arrow to the test. The longest rafting tour in SalzburgerLand is offered on the River Salzach between Taxenbach and Schwarzach. You must be able to swim in order to join this rafting trip. Please come equipped with sturdy shoes; a life vest and helmet will be provided. Safety and fun is guaranteed through use of nimble rafts. Only 8 people are permitted per boot.
ACTIVE PROGRAM - Rafting
A 12 km-long, adventurous, though safe wildwater ride on the River Salzach from Taxenbach to Schwarzach. The whole rafting tour (incl. transfer) takes about 5 hours, with around 1 ½ to 2 hrs. spent on the actual water. And of course, you will be accompanied by a professional guide. Rafters meet every Tuesday in summer at 8:15 a.m. on the “Aktiv” car park. Please register at least one day in advance (Tel.: +43 (0) 6414 / 281). Fee per person: € 58.00 incl. transfer.
ACTIVE PROGRAM: You can try your hand at canyoning every Friday. With a certified guide and cozily clad in a Neoprene suit, you will explore wild, rocky ravines by swimming, climbing, jumping, rappelling and sliding. In fact, numerous jumps from different heights await you. In order to participate in this canyoning adventure, you must be willing to jump from heights of at least 2 meters and be able to swim.
Canyoneers meet at the Aktiv assembly point at 8:15 a.m. and will return to Grossarl at around 2:30 p.m. Children ages 12 and up are welcome to participate in the canyoning tours. Fee per person: € 67.00 incl. transfer. Please sign up at least one day in advance (Tel.: +43 (0) 6414 / 281).
