Hut Adventures in Grossarltal mid-June until mid-September

The heart of our Hut Adventure package is a 3-day hike in Grossarltal. Here, you will get to experience first-hand life at a mountain hut as you discover the fascination of Salzburg's world of mountains and alpine pastures.

Take leisurely hikes via huts, ridge lines and mountain summits, treating yourself to regional products along the way. As you make your way, enjoy the tranquility of nature, glorious sunsets and enchanting evenings spent in the romantic rooms of mountain huts.

Hut hosts love nothing more than to share stories about life in the mountains as well as tales and legends from bygone days. The next morning, you will be awoken by the sound of cow bells, while a delicious breakfast of farm-fresh products will give you the energy you need for your upcoming hike.

These hiking tours can be extended depending on your stamina and what you are in the mood for. In other words, a leisurely hike can occasionally become a summiteering challenge. Should any of the tours we have suggested turn out not to be possible, perhaps because the huts don't have vacancies, we would be happy to suggest other tours with similar walking times.

Higlights of Hut Adventures

"Hut Adventures" is a package consisting of 2 nights in your selected valley accommodations and 2 nights at a mountain hut, with breakfast included. The transfer to the start of the hike, 1 hut snack as well as 1 hiking map are included in this offer.

The “Hut Adventure” tour is not guided. We recommend spending the first and last nights in the valley. This allows you to acclimatize on the first day here, and makes your departure day far more relaxing. Should anything unforeseen crop up, you will always be able to drop back down to the valley whenever you need to.

This package is available from mid-June until end-September. Hut accommodations are provided in multi-bed rooms or dorms. At the huts, your hosts will treat you to delicious hearty snacks. Hot meals are not available at all huts.

One special aspect of this tour is the fact that you can leave any luggage you don’t need during your hiking tour back at your booked valley accommodations.
