Do your children like to hike? And have they already hiked to some of our huts and even the top of a few mountains? Well, we feel that their hiking achievements deserve a reward! That’s why Grossarltal has special hiking badges just for kids.
Rucki Zucki – the mascot of the “Gaudi-Alm” adventure playground – is featured on the buttons. The kids can hike their way to the following buttons:
So, what do children have to do in order to get a hiking button? Quite simple: Slip on their hiking boots, then head out through the Grossarltal countryside up to our area huts and mountaintops. Along the way, you will find official stamps, which you can then use to fill in the space provided in our brochure “The Huts of Grossarltal”.
Or if you prefer, create your own stamp passbook and fill that in instead. Then, bring all of your stamps to the Grossarltal Tourist Office, where you will receive a free hiking button as a reward for your impressive hiking achievements.
For all you grown-up hikers, we also offer real hiking pins. But the system is essentially the same: Simply collect official stamps at mountain huts and on the summits. You can earn the following hiking pins in Grossarl:
- 50 points: silver hiking pin
- 100 points: gold hiking pin
- 300 points: touring pin
- 500 points: alpine pine
- 1,000 points: high-alpine pin
- 2,500 points: silver hiking boot
- 5,000 points: gold hiking boot
