Tobogganing and Winter Walking
Around 25 km of cleared winter footpaths in the Grossarl Valley tempt you to explore the valley on foot, partly along the Ache and partly up some of the access roads with very little traffic at your leisure. Once at your destination you'll generally find a cosy hut with a hearty snack, a hot mulled wine or a legendary "Jägertee". Travelling back down is often quicker, those who didn't leave their togoggans at home, can round off a their walk with a fun toboggan run. Even more comfortable is: heading uphill by taxi to a jolly hut evening and downhill on a toboggan. But please note: no liability for accidents.
Floodlight toboggan run
For all those wanting to undertake a fun toboggan run in the evening, at the Hotel Lammwirt there is a floodlit traffic-free toboggan run (2,5 km). Ascent on foot or by taxi minibuses. Toboggans can be hired from the Hotel Lammwirt:
€ 3,00 / toboggan. After tobogganing stop at the Hotel Lammwirt for a tasty local dish. Also ideal for groups.

Tobogganing with the local taxi companies
The evening toboggan run organised by the local taxi companies are very popular. Drive up the mountain in four-wheel drive minibuses to the various mountain huts and restaurants. It's then great fun heading back downhill in the moonlight or to the light of torches, lanterns or flashlights.
