Weissalm1,724 m (1 1/4 - 1 1/2 hours)

The centuries old Weissalm was carefully restored from 1998-2001 and is a well-loved hiking destination whatever the weather. Sour cheese is still produced today, as in times gone by, on the original open fireplace. There are also many other home-made products available; sausage meats, bacon, cured meats, bread, different types of schnapps. The Weissalm is especially well-known for its fabulous view and lovingly decorated interior with old tools, recalling forgotten days and hard work in the mountains. For tired hikers, all those who have missed a cosy hut afternoon or those who simply want to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend a night up on the alm, the hut offers plenty of space. The hut is easily reached along the ascent from "Grund".
It serves as base for the surrounding hiking destinations: Ellmaualm, Loosbühelalm, Saukar, Gründegg, Grosswildalm, Filzmoosalm, Draugsteinalms, Bichlalm.
