Walk to the Mountain Huts (Alms)
"Hospitality near the heavens" can be experienced on walking or biking tours in the Grossarl Valley.


| | The Grossarl Valley is renowned for is multitude of mountain huts (alms) open to the public. Hence the nickname "Valley of the Alms".
Approx. 40 huts (the most in one part of the province of Salzburg!) cater for walkers on the 250 km of marked footpaths leading into the National Park Hohe Tauern.
For "non-locals", wishing to walk as part of a group, there are 3 free walks per week in the Grossarl Valley, led by a National Park warden.
