Viehhausalm1,640 m (1 - 1 1/4 hours)
The Viehhausalm is most certainly one of the most spectacular viewing points with views over the resort of Grossarl and the snow-capped peaks of the Hohe Tauern. Singers and musicians from the valley often meet up here. The alm can be reached along the ascent from the Mooslehenalm. From there you follow the romantic climb (1/2 an hour) or as a family walk along the well-built access road (3/4 of an hour). Large car park by the ORF (Austrian TV transmitter) Overnight accommodation for 10 persons available on request.
Hiking destinations: Wetterkreuzsattel, Höllwand, Heukareck, Schuhflicker, Aualm.
