2nd international model-glider meeting in the Grossarl Valley

Where normally only golden eagles and paragliders make their rounds, model-gliders capture the airspace.

With up to 6 metres wing-spread they function simular than the big gliders.

Jürgen Witt (model-glider pilot and Grossarl Valley connoisseur) is responsible for the organisation.

You fly mostly at the mountain station of the Panoramabahn. Pilots and their gliders as well as visitors get up the mountain conveniently by the cable cars in about 15 minutes (up and down journey € 15,00).

From there you can start according to wind and weather in every direction. Everyone can choose the right start point for its model.
And maybe you have to share the airspace with some birds of prey.

The "base camp" for the model-glider pilots is the Hotel Gratz.
7 overnight stays incl. half-board cost from € 364,00 (according to the room type).
Of course you can stay in every acommodation.

All the active model-glider pilots must register at the tourist office Grossarl to the 31st of May 2013 because we have only space for 30 pilots. Visitors don't have to register and are everytime very welcome.
