Hiking from hut to hut in Austria

Whilst all is still quiet down in the valley, the mountain hut owners are very busy. First seeing to the animals, then processing the milk. It's a long and busy day. Walkers are pampered by the mountain hut owners with home-made delicacies, which they prepare according to ancient recipes up in the alms:

Freshly-baked bread, cheese, bacon, butter, sausages and of course the various flavoured schnaps. Those who decide to stay overnight are in for a cosy hut evening.
