Grossarl local authority

Grossarl (920m) has been a market community since 1965 and was raised to the status of European Village in 1981. The community has 3,700 inhabitants today and about 4,400 guest beds. Together with tourism, the inhabitants here live from agriculture and forestry and a well-structured small- and medium-size industry.

Hüttschlag local authority

The former mining community of Hüttschlag (1,020m) has been a part of the Hohe Tauern National Park since 1991. The community of about 950 inhabitants offers about 520 guest beds and with its picturesque valley end and the Talwirt with the Valley Museum and National Park Information Centre it is a popular excursion destination for young and old.
